Intersoft’s unique VirtualFlow™ technology enables you to display nearly any number of covers with no performance degradation. You can load hundreds, even thousands of images without excessive memory consumption.
CoverFlow supports both automatic slideshow and user navigation modes, allowing you to easily build richly interactive multimedia web applications. CoverFlow has a set of defaults so comprehensive that in most cases you can create your media show by simply assigning the datasource to the CoverFlow control.
In addition to the usual default perspective mode, CoverFlow supports a scale mode. In perspective mode, covers display at a specified perspective angle.
CoverFlow doesn’t simply dynamically display images, it also showcases videos like no application you’ve seen. With full support for all Silverlight-compliant video formats such as WMV, VC-1 and MP3, items detected as video type will automatically launch the video player inside the cover’s boundary.
Along with the standard single focused item mode, CoverFlow supports a multiple focused item mode, allowing you to set the desired number of focused items (the default is three). An additional enhancement allows you to set the border as well.
Flexibility and customization
CoverFlow provides a variety of predefined themes to let you quickly set the overall appearance of the control. This feature automatically configures the base color of slideshow buttons, scrollbars, and other control panel objects.
More than a visually stunning multimedia viewer for your web applications, CoverFlow is customizable at a granular level. Configure nearly every layout element to suit your needs.
CoverFlow supports three background modes: Simple, Image, and Custom Image. In Simple Mode, you may resize the background and fill with solid colors or gradients.
This powerful new feature enables you to use a custom template object as the content of CoverFlow’s item and its reflection. Simply create the template object and specify the ItemTemplate and/or Reflection Template property in the Item object. CoverFlow will automatically recognize the specified Template item and use it as its content.
CoverFlow gives you the freedom to determine which item you would like to show initially. You can set it to show the first, last, or middle item, or set it to a specific item index value.
Preview items are located on both left and right side of the current focused item. Set the number of preview items to what best suits your application, or set it to 0 to hide the previous and next CoverFlow items entirely.
Control the size of the cover to fit the needs of your application. Simply set the layout mode to manual and set the CoverSize property. Turn on automatic layout mode for automatic cover size calculation to fill the cover flow item area.

It enables the application to be placed in a restricted store on the user’s machine; and then provide a link directly to it from the user’s desktop or start menu for quick access.
