CenterView 4.0(最新版) (09-05-20)

CenterView 版本更新 4.0 (更新日期:5/20/2009)

There are numerous bug fixes in this release. Here is a list of significant fixes:

  • Enhancement: Added a new field (Schema) to the DB2 datafunnel wizard. This allows the user to specify a schema other then the default schema more easily.  - [CV-4986]
  • Enhancement: Added a new list control to allow multiple item selection. - [CV-6359]
  • Enhancement: Added Domain and Instance fields to the MSSQL datafunnel wizard for easier entry of authentication parameters. - [CV-4830]
  • Enhancement: Added many new tags to allow setting of style information from CenterView to a CordaImage. - [CV-5920]
  • Enhancement: Added support for a shape-border-color in maps that can come from the theme.csx file and can be passed to CenterView's Corda server, which generates maps. - [CV-5371]
  • Enhancement: Added the ability to access datafunnels from textboxes and shapes. - [CV-2679]
  • Enhancement: Archives now have a .car extension instead of the .jar extension. This is so that you do not have issues with Java trying to open the .jar. - [CV-4083]
  • Enhancement: Builder now forces logic conditions to be true when you click on the "if" block and others are false. Also, when you are not in the if block, then the builder doesn't force any true or false evaluation. This helps you more easily walk through your dashboard logic. - [CV-1125]
  • Enhancement: Business Objects datafunnel now supports Business Objects R3. - [CV-4799]
  • Enhancement: Business Objects datafunnel query page now has the ability to search for objects. - [CV-4903]
  • Enhancement: CenterView and the new documentation wiki have been more tightly integrated;  Help menus and buttons now link to the documentation at wiki.corda.com. - [CV-1665]
  • Enhancement: CenterView Builder now has a wizard for control and drilldown actions to more easily add the actions you want. - [CV-2527]
  • Enhancement: CenterView delivers a new and improved API for viewing KPIs on mobile devices. Target embedded browser is no longer available to optimize dashboards for mobile support. For more information on optimizing dashboards for mobile access, see http://wiki.corda.com/confluence/x/0Qqs. - [CV-4802]
  • Enhancement: CenterView has a new server clustering option that includes fault tolerance for a CenterView Server environment. - [CV-808]
  • Enhancement: CenterView has an installer for "Headless" Mac OS_X. This installer will, by default, attempt to run an X-windows GUI installer, but can be run in console mode using the -c option. This installer delivers all of CenterView, including a PostgreSQL database, but no builder. - [CV-7054]
  • Enhancement: CenterView now installs the delivered PostgreSQL database using UTF-8 encoding to ensure the database will start even though the locale may not be set for what PostgreSQL expects.  - [CV-6422]
  • Enhancement: CenterView now lets you allow CenterView Server to send content compressed with GZip to the web browser. - [CV-2834]
  • Enhancement: CenterView now supports connecting to Salesforce.com using the datafunnel wizard. - [CV-1898]
  • Enhancement: CenterView now supports named users so that specified users are always guaranteed access to CenterView dashboards. - [CV-2417]
  • Enhancement: CenterView Server is now able to bind its RMI Registry to a specific IP address. - [CV-3753]
  • Enhancement: CenterView used to process server script tags in KPIs twice; they now are run only once. This makes CenterView faster. We recommend using layouts with cells to define a page and reserve space. The widths and heights used in a KPI no longer reserve space on the page like they used to. - [CV-7512]
  • Enhancement: Changed the wording in the final notification e-mail, and added a link to the KPI. - [CV-3686]
  • Enhancement: Corda Database Server now supports Postgres 8.3. - [CV-3699]
  • Enhancement: Datafunnels now support a post option when getting information from a URL. - [CV-2459]
  • Enhancement: Every XML tag now has a "disabled" attribute, which will disable that tag and its child tags. - [CV-2019]
  • Enhancement: getSession(false) can now return a null. - [CV-2781]
  • Enhancement: Improved datafunnel performance for dashboard developers by caching datafunnels. This feature is turned on by default,  but can be configured in Builder/config/builder.properties in the userCachedDatafunnnelsInBuilder property. - [CV-4949]
  • Enhancement: Improved support for embedding CenterView dashboards, pages, and KPIs in other web pages and applications using the JavaScript embedder. - [CV-4703]
  • Enhancement: In CenterView Administrator, multiple sessions from the same machine were noted as a single IP address.  Now, multiple sessions are displayed as separate session ID numbers. - [CV-2879]
  • Enhancement: It's now easier for plugin developers to create and debug their plugins by choosing one of the available projects. For more information, see http://wiki.corda.com/confluence/x/iwDL. - [CV-7215]
  • Enhancement: On a Mac, you can now add additional browsers in Builder from which you can choose to preview the dashboards you are developing. - [CV-5915]
  • Enhancement: Plugins can now send parameter information back to the Centerview builder with use of getDefaultParameterString, getParameterDescription, and getParameterValues. - [CV-2204]
  • Enhancement: Table apply wizard has several improvements for easier use. - [CV-5245]
  • Enhancement: Table drilldown & column sort needed to inherit their stylization from the cell that it's in. CenterView now propagates the style values down to the child tags. CenterView also has a new inline attribute on the drilldown and column sort features. - [CV-5241]
  • Enhancement: The Add Label attribute now allows for multiple columns/rows, each with a different label (for example, C1:column1 title;C2:column2 title;C7:column7 title).
  • Enhancement: The Builder and Server now allow you to save a grid with its theme. If a theme has one or more grid files associated with it,  CenterView limits which grid files you can change to, since a grid is usually specific to a theme.  - [CV-4778]
  • Enhancement: The datafunnel function datediff now allows date and time formatted output. - [CV-664]
  • Enhancement: The datafunnel wizard for the OLAP cube accessed using XMLA in the panel with a title "What MDX statement do you want?" has been enhanced to include a tree-view of the available objects from the cube and some syntax highlighting. - [CV-1669]
  • Enhancement: The datafunnel wizard now has a Visual Query Builder, which provides tools for you to more easily build and manipulate SQL queries. - [CV-1524]
  • Enhancement: The howto example dashboard has been renamed to the "sampler" dashboard. - [CV-2312]
  • Enhancement: The installer now creates symlinks for Linux installs in the basic installation mode. - [CV-2237]
  • Enhancement: The symlinks on *nix operating systems are now created in the installation directory by default. - [CV-5166]
  • Enhancement: There are two new variables that will be sent with maps (if the map supports them). They are MAP_CLASS and MAP_DESCRIPTION. See the documentation for more information. - [CV-4620]
  • Enhancement: There is a new AuthPlugin reValidate(...) method to allow plugin developers to make sure the current login is for the current user. - [CV-7319]
  • Enhancement: There is a new datafunnel transform called <set-value> that allows you to set the value of a given cell to a given value.
  • Enhancement: There is a new server script method, util.addPolicyRules, to use when building server script controls to allow variables through the policy. - [CV-7431]
  • Enhancement: There is a new supported action for UpdateDashControlsAndPage. - [CV-3862]
  • Enhancement: There were several improvements to Business Objects datafunnels, including being able to run a query from a Business Objects report (which can include merged dimensions) or using a query from a Business Objects report in a Business Objects datafunnel. - [CV-1458]
  • Enhancement: Two more properties were added to make the SMTP settings for notifications more complete. - [CV-6095]
  • Enhancement: Updated the Welcome dashboard theme and functionality. However, some of these changes meant that anything using datafunnels can no longer be used on the Welcome page. - [CV-5808]
  • Enhancement: Users can now create their own user account, change some of their user settings, and have help if they forgot their password. All of these features can be enabled or disabled by the CenterView administrator. They are turned on by default. - [CV-5787]
  • Enhancement: Users can now have CenterView remember their login by marking the Remember Me checkbox on the welcome dashboard. CenterView administrators can control whether this feature is available. It is on by default. - [CV-5792]
  • Enhancement: When users successfully login to CenterView, CenterView can automatically set that user as a named user. This can be configured in the CenterView Administrator. It is on by default. - [CV-5796]
  • Enhancement: You can now administer other CenterView servers in an older administrator version, as long as their product major version and the RMI API major version match. - [CV-1822]

  • Enhancement: Previously, labels on graphs that are set to position "outside-top"  really meant "outside" - if the value is positive, and the graph is vertical, then the label was placed above (outside) the bar. If the value is negative, and the graph is vertical, then the label was placed below (outside) the bar. This has been changed to be "outside" (a new position).
